Residential Whole-House systems for Audio, Video, and Automation at Entech Media Systems start off with a blank piece of paper. We design based on a thorough evaluation of the client’s needs and desires on a room by room basis. Each room is considered along with an overall goal for the house that brings together Audio, Video, Networking, Lighting, and Security in an intuitive interface that brings ultimate control to the client. Each TV and Audio source is carefully considered to provide the exact entertainment experience our clients want where and when they want it.

Like our commercial systems, once the design process is complete the wire is run (either retrograde or new construction). Each TV, Speaker, Control Point, WIFI access point, and Lighting Control has been custom placed to meet the client’s desires. Neat professional wiring and system component layout make systems easier to service and upgrade through years of hard use. Wire chases to attic and other vital areas insure whatever the project we can do it in the future. Doing it right at the start insures the systems just work better for the life of the home.

 

Anatomy of a residential system: (Example per Rack Picture below)

We start with a high-quality component rack with plenty of room for current components and room to spare for system additions and expansions going forward. Wiring is neatly and professionally installed. This example includes a glass front door for a clean finished look.

On top is the networking equipment including router and switch to provide a data backplane to keep things running smoothly no matter where in the house you are. This is especially important for today’s 4k video and multiple smart streaming devices. We build superior networks with the best WIFI coverage in the business. All our networks are designed with Category 6 wiring for years of continued service.

After the network components come the Audio and Video sources. In this example we have multiple Direct TV boxes, 2 Apple TV’s, and an online music streamer by Savant providing high-quality music streams from Spotify, Pandora, XM Sirius, Tune-In, Deezer, Tidal and more. Each one of these audio and video sources is easily available to users throughout the home. Choose your entertainment source and sit back and enjoy! This system has been custom programmed to also stream customer’s iTunes collection through the Savant Host and even updates the iTunes collection with iTunes Match. Buy a couple new songs while you are on the road? No problem they are sitting on the system waiting for you when you get home!

Continuing down the rack we find the heart of the Savant system. In this case the client chose to go with a full card-upgradeable multi-function system called a Savant Chassis. It delivers the highest quality Audio and Video available in the business. Other Savant components not visible insure complete control of all functionality with intuitive app's and interfaces that even a child can operate. This system also includes a lighting system from industry leader Lutron. The lighting environment as well as the audio and video are all controlled by Savant.

At the bottom of the component stack are the Amplifiers to drive speakers throughout the home with full, rich, powerful sound. These amplifiers are from Parasound,rolex replica watches a name synonymous with quality high-end sound reproduction. They have the job of driving the Monitor Audio Controlled Performance speakers installed throughout the home. The sound is amazing!

Anatomy of the commercial A/V System at Beechmont Country Club

First you need a sturdy and durable Rack that can withstand years of use in a commercial environment. Mounted within, from top to bottom, are the following components:

Wireless microphone receivers with their small antennas.

One of their video sources (Direct TV Satellite Receiver) and a small Savant Controller.

A Lab Gruppen Amplifier.? Commercial amplifiers need to be able to function for extended hours and are engineered for years of reliable service.

Directing sound to different rooms from different sources on demand is a DSP Processor/Preamplifier called the Biamp Tesira.

A Denon Commercial Blu-ray disk player, like all other commercial components used by Entech, is engineered to hold up to constant use for years.

Allowing video sources to be shared to multiple rooms/Video Projectors, is a HDMI High-Definition Matrix Video Switcher from Wyrestorm.

A Furman Power Conditioner/Surge Suppressor is the last item, protecting our commercial customer’s valuable investments.

Not visible in the picture but present in the installation is a complete Savant Control System that allows the Beechmont personnel or Members to control the entire system with an iPad or their iPhones.
